ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electrical machines, electronics, and electromagnetism. The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 2010 with an objective to develop professionals through quality education with an intake of 120 students. The Department has good infrastructure facilities and is equipped with fullfledged laboratories such as Basic Electrical Lab, Electrical Machines Lab I & Electrical Machines Lab II, Power Electronics Lab; Power System Simulation Lab etc.The Department maintains high quality of teaching and learning process with the help of well qualified faculty members. Good exposure is given to all the students to update their practical knowledge with the help of technically strong instructors.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO's)

Electrical Engineering students will come out with ability and knowledge to perform following parameters:

  • Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering
  • Ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to running a system, machines, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability.

MACHINES LAB - I & II

This is the main laboratory where experiments like load test on various machines, speed control tests, open circuit tests, short circuit tests, etc are carried out. Also, a wide variety of practical experiments are performed here with a combination of different rotating machines.

POWER ELECTRONICS LAB

The power electronics lab enhances the EEE students by providing them with a better understanding of the concepts and working of advanced power semiconductor devices and power electronics circuits. Power system simulation Lab

The Power Systems Simulation Laboratory using MATLAB 7.0.4 include modeling, simulation, and optimization of electric power systems (reliability) and planning, protection, automation, control and power quality.
